These hold up my thickest hardcovers without tipping, and the hand-finished glaze makes each one look slightly different. The 4.5-inch size is just tall enough for a full shelf of paperbacks too.

The ceramic has a nice weight to it, so they actually hold up my heavy hardcovers without sliding. At 4.5 inches tall they fit perfectly under my taller paperbacks too.

I rearranged my shelf in rainbow order just to sit these at the ends, and honestly it was worth the fuss. The hand-finished ceramic has tiny color shifts in the glaze that make each one feel a little different, and they hold up a short stack of paperbacks without budging.
